Privacy
We do not track you.
A surveillance-watchdog site should practice what it preaches. This policy is deliberately short, plain-language, and true.
What we collect
Nothing, for the purpose of tracking you.
- No analytics. We run no analytics or tracking pixels on this site.
- No advertising. We sell no ads and place no third-party trackers.
- No tracking cookies. The site does not set cookies for tracking.
Your location
The homepage can show you the documented camera programs near you. That lookup happens entirely in your browser: we ship a small list of documented cities with your page, and your browser compares it against your own coordinates. We never receive or store your location. If you decline, the site simply asks you to search by city instead.
Server logs
Like nearly all websites, our web host may keep standard, temporary access logs (such as IP address and user agent) for security and abuse prevention. These are not used to build profiles and are not sold.
What you send us
If you use the tip or contact forms, we receive only what you choose to submit. Submitted tips are kept for editorial review and are never published as facts without verification. See the methodology for how that works.
